U.S. Team Trials 2016

Once again, historic Hayward Field became the epicenter for our nation’s best Track and Field athletes, as host to the 2016 U.S. Team Trials. To keep with the iconic traditions of speed and irreverence, Nike was there to enable all athletes to reach their best ever.

Nike tapped OBE to design their consumer journey, curate the run-of-show and own “show” management for their 10-day campaign. Activations on the ground allowed all athletes to be treated like a globally-ranked athlete, with exclusive access to expert guidance, experiences and Nike’s latest innovations. OBE ensured that details were dialed - from staff training and consumer check-ins to talent management and execution of all (8) NRC events.

Nike partner Satisy&Fy handled the design and build of Lane8 - where consumers were immersed in the rich running history that has made Nike the leader in athlete innovation. From Bill Bowerman’s vision to broken records, Nike dedicates itself to the calling of a challenge. That challenge was brought to consumers by racing U.S. record-holder Evan Jage in a digital arena all while trialing the newest in running technology, the LunarEpic. Having been inspired by their achievement, consumers were then directed to the Nike USA retail space to gear up like champions.
